miss u

IMG_3487.PNG

'miss u' was my return to art after a long break due to high school. It was also the first artwork I made with meaning and messages, not a character. I wanted to encapsulate the unspoken language of love, an emotion so profound that words alone can scarcely convey its depth.
The scene is set in the darkness, with the sole illumination emanating from a phone screen. A girl, wrapped in an oversized, warm orange knit jumper, gazes at the messages on her phone with profound longing. Hearts emerge from the messages, floating through the air toward her, while smaller hearts burst forth from her chest.
In 'miss u', I aim to capture the inexpressible. Love is a feeling that transcends words, and this artwork is a visual embodiment of that sentiment. The contrast between the dark background and the warm, radiant hearts and phone screen conveys the emotional intensity of longing and affection.
I invite viewers to contemplate the complexity of human emotions and the power of visual storytelling. 'miss u' reflects the emotions that connect us all, reminding us of the beautiful and sometimes indescribable aspects of human connection. Through my art, I hope to evoke a sense of empathy and recognition, allowing others to find their own stories within these visuals.
